Team fanbases are connected to the places they represent and once you cross a state line you are representing something different. Nobody from Indiana or Chicago sees each other as we are the same community.

Also the site is a historic landmark so there isn't a thing the bears could do to that site. That's why they want to move into a stadium they actually own.

@pugsandco @paytonsun No body is saying it's to far. What people are saying is sports and fanbases are connected to the cities they represent. The Chicago bears going to Arlington wouldn't be the same as the city but leaving the state no matter how close in distance just doesn't make any sense.
