Local Authorities have a power under S19(3) #CareAct 2014 to provide care and support where there are urgent needs, pending the completion of an assessment for #socialcare.
What has been your experience in asking for this type of interim support?
A child's #socialcare assessment should take no longer than 45 working days to conclude. If the conclusion exceeds this time, the social worker must record the reasons for exceeding the time limit.
Do you think a timeframe should also be included for adult needs assessments?
During a needs assessment for #socialcare under the #CareAct, the local authority are required to have regard to the individual accessing the community.
In your experience, was this eligibility outcome explored?
What is important to you when accessing the community?
