Obscene. We must raise the minimum wage to a living wage.
@BlazeEigs@GarethCliff They collected 1.6 billion rand, yet spent R8 out every R10 collected on salaries and just R2 out of every R10 collected on projects that would benefit their members. Likening the running of a volunteer civic operation to something like Transnet or another state owned enterprise.
To those who battle to stop trade with colonies but not Israel as a whole:
A government whose main (often only) purpose is to grab land, kill arrest & torture its residents, and build colonies - makes the whole State responsible for int'l crimes.
Cut trade with Israel now.
The News24 team perused a variety of clothing items at several Old School outlets, but has yet to find anything manufactured in SA. Many of the items were labelled “Designed in Stellenbosch”, with “Made in India” signage underneath.

An ICC arrest warrant bears your name for war crimes and crimes against humanity, including the use of starvation as a weapon. Named at the ICJ for genocide. A fugitive from international justice.
Enjoy nothing, Mr. Genocide.

🔒Inside AfriForum’s money machine: How lobby group splurges on salaries, marketing. "It also recorded financial transactions totaling R42 million related to entities in the whites-only Afrikaner enclave of Orania." https://t.co/IZ3qNGXOr2 via @news24
@BuddyWells1@GavinMabie Current exploration suggests the Outeniqua Basin may hold more promise for natural gas than for large oil reserves. If that proves true, the country's comparative advantage may be in gas-fired power generation rather than becoming a major crude oil refiner.
@GavinMabie@BuddyWells1 It would cost something like R300 billion to get our industry of the ground. Also its a dying industry, the future will be electric vehicles. Why invest in an outdated technology when Dangote have a mega refinery in Nigeria that will be cheaper because of the size of operation.
@GavinMabie@BuddyWells1 Because we have MosGas, its being mothballed. The investment to restart would be around 4 billion the cost to start a brand new crude oil system would be astronomical and we simply cannot afford that. We have the expertise in Mossel Bay and a facility.

@GavinMabie@BuddyWells1 Agreed but South Africa's optimal mix would not include drilling for oil. We don't have pipelines, functioning refineries, skilled petro engineers. The costs involved would provide little return on the investment - when we have Angola and Nigeria in close proximity unlike China.
@DirkCrafford4@GarethCliff Pretending to represent a minority community 'under threat' who are economically dominant, have equal rights whilst collecting vast amounts of funds in order to destabilise the very constitutional democracy you are utilizing to fund raise and litigate is the very height of irony.
