Every so often Nancy Pelosi's equity trading profits get the pundit class hyped up, and calling for a ban of congressional trading. What a mistake, and not just because it's frequently Republicans calling for more laws from the government they allegedly want to limit. The thinking is problematic because Pelosi's critics are yelling at symptoms, rather than focusing on the real problem of big government. All that, plus if Pelosi in fact does have a keen sense of how legislation, regulation and spending will affect stocks, why would we blind markets to her knowledge? https://t.co/QgC83GVKg6
