The distortion of history often begins when metaphors are taken literally. The Bakharkars poetically recorded that Shivaji Maharaj wielded his sword with the divine intensity of Goddess Bhavani, which later popular lore misconstrued as a supernatural gift of a sword. Stripping away such exaggerations does not diminish his legendary status ; it restores historical truth and celebrates his genuine human genius.

​Crucially, Shivaji Maharaj did not belong to any northern Rajput clan. He was born of Maharashtra’s own soil, deeply rooted in the indigenous Maratha-Kunbi socio-agrarian matrix.

While Rajput monarchs often aligned with imperial courts and resided in opulent palaces (Mahals), Shivaji Maharaj drew his entire power from the local peasantry. He never sought courtly luxury; he lived, strategized, and fought from rugged hill forts (Killas) shoulder-to-shoulder with his brethre ,the Mavlas ,forging a true people's kingdom (Rayateche Rajya).

Paragraph 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 (amended 1990) explicitly states that a person converting to Buddhism retains their Scheduled Caste identity and rights under Indian law. The law recognizes that a change of faith does not erase historical social reality.

My main point remains about camera angles. When flexible fabric is held at an angle toward the lens without a frame, 2D photography creates natural foreshortening and visual distortion.

​Furthermore, this flag was presented directly by Postmaster General Swati Pandey in August 2022 under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Official flags distributed by India Post strictly comply with the Flag Code of India and the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.

Anand Mahindra posted this picture on August 12, 2022, and it remains up on his official account to this day. It is unthinkable that senior officials and industrialists would publicly present a non compliant flag.

The flag is not defective, but due to following reasons, it appears uneven in the photograph.

​When a cloth flag is held loosely by hand at only the top two corners without a rigid pole or frame, the fabric naturally sags, slumps, and folds inward in the middle. Combine this with the fact that the flag is angled slightly away from the camera lens towards Anand Mahindra's side, and the two dimensional perspective naturally distorts the proportions ,making the closer folds and slack sections of the fabric look wider or larger than the taut areas.

It is unthinkable that individuals of their stature would fail to notice such a defect and go on to display it during a photo session
