Every night after work I swap out an old HVAC vent for an insulated one, and take part of the old ones and build new return vent to improve the air flow. We should be ready to install the AI HVAC system by July.

The railing has been shortened and reinstalled.

Out next project is to build a mini mud room in the garage.

It doesn’t look like much, but swapping the jointed and uninsulated vents for insulated and continuous ones will reduce heat loss by 44% and on this line, as measured, increased the delivered flow by 8%.

And with a little push, we’re done the living room updates. It does look great. Next it’s back to the heating duct changes.

With maintenance season starting soon, this is likely to be the last weekend project for several months. This area look so much better framed in.

With 4 feet of snow still on the ground we’ve started the garden using GroBuckets inside the shop this year. Let’s see how this works out.

Here’s the last video of Litel Akers. It’s taken from the west side of the orchard. This weekend we drop off the tractor batteries and truck keys. After that it’s all done.

After block sanding with 400 grit paper the lid is starting to look better. One more coat to go.

About 65 years ago my grandfather and uncle built my Mom a Hope chest. She still using it and today I started the restoration.

After an hour to remove the old light and 3 hours to install the new one, the improvement is quite stunning.

After 6 weeks we have the kitchen back together! What a great result! Here is a little before and after video.

With the final coat of paint on the last doors and drawers, we have started removing the masking and tarps. Lisa is excited about having a fully functional kitchen after a month of remodelling.
