Assuming you are unmarried and supporting only yourself in Nigeria—and using Northern Nigeria as our baseline, where food isn't quite as expensive as in Lagos, Abuja, or Port Harcourt—a decent, moderate meal to fill your stomach at a time costs at least N1,500. We are talking about a moderate meal here.

If you calculate it, you eat three times a day: N1,500 x 3 = N4,500 daily.

In a year, you will spend N4,500 x 365 days = N1,642,500 on food.

In four years, you will spend N1,642,500 x 4 = N6,570,000 on food.

And mind you, this is strictly about food.

No marriage, no children, no responsibility for your parents, no sickness, no emergencies, and above all, no house rent.

Let’s be honest with ourselves: how many people have an annual salary that reaches N3 million, tax included? Statistically, only 2.4% of Nigerians earn N200,000 and above per month. How then can people escape multi-dimensional poverty? Even someone earning N200,000 a month—when you sum up their total annual earnings, it doesn't even reach N3 million!

We are simply living in madness in this country. The reality of life is unsustainable for building a society. It is no surprise that terrorism is widespread, because even when a person has a job or a business, what they earn cannot cover their basic needs.

We are in a total mess!

Breaking News; Rep. AbdusSamad Dasuki has once again raised the alarm over a fraudulent provision in the Electoral Act, which we believe poses a serious threat to the integrity of the 2027 elections.

As seen in the video, even the Speaker of the House, who is a member of President Bola Tinubu’s APC, appeared visibly unhappy with Dasuki raising the matter on the floor of the Assembly.

We therefore call on opposition leaders and all Nigerians to demand an explanation and insist that the National Assembly reject this attempt to undermine the people’s mandate.

6 Years Later! We are still dealing with Insecurity, hunger, poverty, lack of proper health care and the highest level of corruption and impunity. The saddest part is that we are even more divided as a people at a time when we should be most united.
I hope one day we truly realize the power that we have as citizens and stop allowing a few selfish individuals destroy the success and prosperity of the majority of us.
