The past few weeks, @d1baseball has been doing its Top 100 Programs list, one of my favorite bits of offseason content we get every couple of years.
The full list is officially out. 15 SEC teams made the cut, and the league accounts for 11 of the top 14 programs in the sport.
Threw together a quick little graph visualizing where each conference’s programs landed in the 2026 @d1baseball Top 100.
* Note: This graph only plots teams in the top 100 programs list. Each league has team(s) off the list as well.
@Mikeysurf@d1baseball South Carolina, Fresno State, Arizona, Fullerton, Rice, etc all winning 15+ years ago does not make them better current programs than someone like Arkansas or FSU.
@angolakennels@d1baseball This is about looking towards the next 5-10 years and where programs are currently positioned. UVA is a great program, but losing a HOF coach is going to have an impact on lists like this.
@msudogfan@markboone219@d1baseball 1. I didn’t make the list
2. It’s not an all time program ranking, it’s weights the last 5-10 years with a look ahead
State has an argument over a few of those teams, but those teams also have legit arguments to be ahead of State too
@JW1612@HostileVol@d1baseball The point of the list isn’t who had the best previous 5 years. It’s looking ahead over the next 5-10 years.
Tennessee is at 4 so they’re by no means being discredited, but it’s fair to have a question after they replaced what was the best head coach in baseball plus an elite PC
@HostileVol@d1baseball I think having the natty is certainly a good argument, but to play devil's advocate, Forbes has UNC rolling right now, and there are still some questions about the post Vitello Vols. I think Elander will settle in just fine, but you're really splitting hairs with those top teams

@_WhoAmI_999@d1baseball Had them at 4 in 2024, but it's weighted to take into account more recent success.
Also, you can disagree without claiming that one of the few outlets covering college baseball 365 days a year is somehow not tuned in to the sport
@markboone219@d1baseball It's about where programs currently stand, not an all-time ranking. Hence why programs like Miami, South Carolina, USC, etc are lower down despite being historically much stronger.
@FaulkYeah38@adidasUS Yeah that’s fair. I didn’t add it on the red or navy because they’d be worn with different pants, but since gray would always be worn with those it could definitely have it.

OLE MISS UNIFORM CONCEPT
One of the more intriguing sets in the series, I don’t think they currently have any bad looks, but I also feel they could really elevate more.
The set:
- Rebels script navy & red
- classic powder blue
- revised pins & gray
- new “brand” white
Uhhhh homefield just out here casually dropping heat like it’s a Friday news dump??
(I fully expect that Skip Johnson already has a worn in version of this that he keeps in his truck just in case he needs to toss on an extra layer)
