SEIU Local 560 represents 500+ dedicated workers at Dartmouth College. We are security officers, trades people, custodians and more, working across campus.
They made history. Now they’re graduating. 🎓🏀 Dartmouth men’s basketball players led the first college athlete union with @SEIU_Local_560.
Now, their leadership and legacy are captured in commemorative trading cards: https://t.co/HP7BnDYXBg
Congrats to all of the graduates!
2M SEIU Members 🤝 13M AFL-CIO Members
SEIU just joined America’s biggest federation of labor unions, the @AFLCIO. Together, we’re taking on corporate union busters and changing the rules so every worker who wants a union can have one. Let’s do this!
Interesting development in the Dartmouth College men's basketball players as employees case. The counsel for the NLRB General Counsel seeks a summary judgment order from the agency's board on school's refusal to bargain, a move that could speed things up: https://t.co/OntZ51ccmg.
SEIU Local 560, the union representing Dartmouth men’s basketball players, released a statement on winning their ULP against the school for refusing to bargain with them:
We are thrilled to announce that after a 12 hour voting period and hundreds of members voting, we have ratified our newest contract overwhelmingly! #1Union#UnionYES
Members are joining at union hall to hear from negotiations team members about the newest #TentativeAgreement
If you haven’t already, swing by, grab some pizza and VOTE YES! #1union
If college athletes are treated like employees, then they are employees. The AFL-CIO and its Sports Council unions - representing pro basketball, football, baseball and soccer players - unanimously oppose HR 8534 and any legislation that denies college athletes employee status.
It is outrageous that while Dartmouth has an endowment of $7.9 billion, their graduate workers are struggling to get by. I stand in solidarity with 800 workers of @GOLDartmouth striking for a living wage and decent benefits.

When we fight, we win. WALK-OUT from the office and join your union on the Green TODAY. The admin's stalling is unacceptable, and we will march to show the boss that we are firm in our resolve to fight and win a fair contract. ✊
Meet Jake Krupski.
He's been an attorney for nearly 30 years, representing police officers and firefighters in New Hampshire.
He's now representing 15 Dartmouth college basketball players.
And he's winning.
He sits down for an exclusive interview: https://t.co/R2vuqqSsjK.
