Four key metrics tell you almost everything about its sustainability:

🧠 1. ADR (Alpha Distribution Rate)

Think of it like a risk bar for the subnet’s liquidity:

Low ADR (<1.5) → Healthy, strong TAO backing, low deregistration risk ✅

High ADR (>1.5) → Fragile, stretched pool, potential deregistration ⚠️

In plain terms: the higher the ADR, the less cushion the subnet has before it becomes unstable.

Always check this before throwing in capital.

📊2. Gini Coefficient

Measures stake distribution among top 100 holders.

0 → very even, 1 → very concentrated.

High Gini = risk of whales controlling subnet dynamics.

🌐 3. Root Proportion

Shows how dependent the subnet is on the root network for its valuation.

A high root proportion = heavy reliance on TAO inflows to stay stable.

When inflows slow, those subnets feel it first.

💧 4. TAO Flow (new metric)

Tracks the actual movement of TAO in and out of subnets.

Positive TAO flow = network confidence and liquidity entering.

Negative flow = exit pressure and reduced economic health.
