I hate how performative the world is that people can’t bear to watch a monkey’s suffering, yet somehow manage to look the other away while children in Gaza continue to endure the worst form of brutal, violent oppression.
i hate it when people say, “she’s still your mom,” or “he’s still your uncle.” just because someone is family doesn’t mean you’re required to keep them in your life if they’re toxic or abusive. blood doesn’t always equal safety, love, or respect. don’t let people guilt you into staying connected to those who repeatedly harm you
Actually, nobody likes you when you're depressed. Plain and simple. We can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. They see you as negative, a burden, and someone too heavy to handle.
