Very lucky to be at the @discourseinpsy conference in Toronto today! So inspiring to hear about labs all over the world coordinating protocols for linguistics and psychosis research

A thought-provoking discussion although some of the issues have been fleshed out before - eg difference b/w functional connectivity (statistical correlations in signal space) vs effective connectivity (models that embody causes as inferred using model inversion)

Over the moon to have presented my systematic review at #ECHRANZ2020 and win people’s choice 😦 congrats to @rachelmbrand@MikaelaBere and Sarah Maisey for their awards too!!
@Vasishtasetty @echrgroup We’ll be uploading the recordings to the ECHR website in the next week or so! Keep your eyes peeled on Twitter or sign up for memebership at https://t.co/R0hLw8Sil9 and we’ll send out an email when it’s ready to go 😊
@aldersonday’s keynote covered so many fascinating concepts between phenomenology, the arts, cognition and neuroimaging in the experience of voice-hearing. What an end to such an amazing conference #ECHRANZ2020
Inner speech & theory of mind processes give an insight into the cortical activity behind the 'rounding out' of meaning & characterisation in voice-hearing experiences. These can also be seen in vivid imagery during reading & writing novels @aldersonday #ECHRANZ2020
Rapid fire presentations, a discussion on the future of transdiagnostic research with @RossellSusan and a keynote from @aldersonday... what an afternoon! #ECHRANZ2020
Who’s ready for DAY 2 of #ECHRANZ2020?! Starting very soon with rapid fire ECR research showcase, break out sessions and ending with a keynote from the brilliant @aldersonday (time to wake up Ben! 😴)
& finally, congrats to our very own Dr Wei Lin Toh for best ECR poster! Wei Lin is a post-doc research fellow & team manager at @CogNeuro_SUT looking at multimodal assessment of hallucination & delusion in psychiatric disorders, particularly on AVH in mood disorders
Huge congratulations to @sidchop who won 1st place for his 10-min oral AND best biological psychiatry abstract!
Sidhant is completing his PhD in clincial psychology at @NSB_Lab looking at recovery and prevention of psychosis & the impact of antipsychotic medication.
