@NettieRespondek @nyuwomenshoops Mrs Coach says about Nettie’s award “couldn’t happen to a nicer person. I love her!!”

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@94FeetWBB Don’t know him personally but coached against him and thought then he was excellent with the same demeanor as Kenny Brooks! Good hire!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@CoalitionHoops Question? The call is not made, Bueckers gets ball and drives to basket. There is some contact on the shot and Paige misses. Does the theory you don’t make a call at that time still hold? Just asking.

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@3meee__ Didn’t recruit you for your defense! Although you weren’t as bad as you think! I recruited you because you were one of the 5 best shooters, male or female, I coached in 45 years!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

Congratulations to Irma Garcia on her appointment as Athletic Director at Manhattan College. As fine a director and person as anyone I worked with in my coaching career. Manhattan gets a great leader!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@NettieRespondek @nyuwomenshoops Congratulations!!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@ZakBoisvert Good luck Zak! You are with an Archbishop Molloy guy now! Great opportunity!

Some of the opponents that the players in the Sutherland v Manly game have faced in the past:

Breanna Stewart
Morgan Tuck
Moriah Jefferson
Kia Nurse
Kiah Stokes
Gabby Williams
Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis

oh wait that's just the UConn team that @alexdelaney_14 played against.

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@Sam_Keltos You have plenty of friends over there to visit! Take advantage of your time there to travel around and experience the culture! You will do well!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@Sam_Keltos Congratulations Sam!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

Great spending time with @sfbkad and Chase Licata at NCAA Soccer Championships in Wilmington! @SFBKsoccer was always a big supporter of @SFBK_WBB ! Thrilled to return the favor!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

Congratulations to Coach Tom Giavatto and @SFBKSoccer on another championship! Great job by players and staff in maintaining your tradition of excellence! Coach Tom, one of the best in the business!!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@NettieRespondek @nazhillmon @umichwbball Very advanced, fundamentally sound post player who plays smart and hard. How do you beat that. I enjoy watching her.

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

What do former @SFBK_WBB standouts @amyoneill42 (2020) and @alexdelaney_14 in (2019) have besides Australian WNBL Champion rings. The character to be great teammates without being the star! Remarkable young women!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

Former @SFBK_WBB player @dana_direnzo now Dana DiRenzo CPA. Congratulations Dana!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@sfbkad congratulations on your well deserved recognition. You have been an outstanding role model for the student athletes and a wonderful mentor to coaches. I think the Amoeba defense may be making a comeback!

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

Have a great year Eilidh! Nice to be on a team nicknamed Lions because you have the heart of one!

[Eilidh Simpson @eilidhsimpson41]

It’s been far too long since I’ve put on a jersey. So excited for Year 6. Let’s go Lions! 🦁

[John Thurston @SFBK_HeadCoachT]

@sfbkad As a Bronx boy I will have to claim the Egg Cream as part of our heritage also. Great drink after playing ball!
