😤 "It is over the top... it is a disproportionate penalty!"
🤦♂️ "We've lost a sense of perspective on the impact spying can have!"
Football finance expert Stefan Borson explains why the EFL are wrong to expel #SaintsFC from the play-offs!"
Cheating is cheating - unless it's done by City or Chelsea. And we all know Saints didn't gain any actual advantage from a bloke taking pics on a phone behind a tree. Brave Sir Henry kickin the small guy.
🚨 @TeleFootball on Friday: “It is claimed the man filming Middlesbrough’s training session had ‘professional filming equipment’, complete with a microphone powerful enough to pick up the voice of Kim Hellberg & his coaching staff as they issued training instructions.” #saintsfc
The FA have provided an update on the Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Luke Ayling verbal altercation from last night
Following a review of the referee's report and speaking to Boro, the player (Ayling) chose not to pursue the allegation so the matter is now closed
#Saintsfc#Boro
This is why the Championship is unparalleled. Ayling doesn't play the ball. A blatant penalty, ref not interested.
No VAR. Just good, old fashioned, honest incompetence. As the game should be. Marvelous stuff.

🇩🇪 We need to talk about Tonda Eckert.
21st → 4th
He's completely transformed Southampton in the Championship this season.
They are now up to 4th in the table having taken charge in November when the club were 21st in the division.
Eckert is another young manager, at just 33, who favours high-pressing, quick-transition football - and he’s got Saints flying. He’s happy to trust his attacking players with the freedom to create and express themselves and it's great to watch.
Oh, they're also in the semi-final of the FA Cup having beaten Arsenal in the quarter-final.
Tonda Eckert, take a bow.
