@mangorugby Been to rugby twice in Spain. On both occasions I felt it was being policed and stewarded as if it was football. Armed police with dogs on the way to the Heineken Cup final. OTT stewarding at the HSBC 7s final in Madrid. There’s a reason the 7s final didn’t go back to Madrid.

@BlindTasters Black truffle slices preserved in oil. They can go mouldy once opened, even if you store them in the fridge, so I freeze what’s left over.

Dinner tonight in a rather nice restaurant, just by Green Park. Other than the fish course, everything was fantastic. The entertainment was an unexpected surprise, but made a good night even better.

@willgkelleher @AlexMLowe @TimesSport By all means host the final at a “destination”, but not Spain. The World 7s final was in Madrid last year was such a bad experience for spectators that they’ve had to move it elsewhere. The Heineken Cup final in Bilbao wasn’t much fun either.
