We're recruiting an @srp_diabetes Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate mitochondrial function and exercise adaptation in type 2 diabetes. The project builds on our recent multi-omic discoveries in skeletal muscle.

How do adipocytes get fat? Excited to share new work from my lab! Felix Klingelhuber and Scott Frendo-Cumbo from the Mejhert&Rydén lab used proteomics to map how adipocytes rearrange their architecture and spatial metabolic organization in adipogenesis.

New from the lab!
Mitochondria from an aged mouse model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy have impaired creatine metabolism and oxidized mitochondrial CK (thiol labeling).
Targeting mitochondria with the peptide SBT-20 rescued mitochondrial creatine metabolism + lowered H2O2. 1/3
Excited to share preprint of the study I have wanted to do since I first fell in love with insulin signalling! Great collaboration with @atul_deshmukh1@JuleenRZierath@ryden_mikael et al-Deconvoluting in vivo molecular signatures of insulin resistance https://t.co/sNJ6SY386x
It was this week: David Kovacs, post doc from the @IPMC_sophia team of Bruno Antonny joined the @I2mcT at @UT3PaulSabatier team of @DominiqueLangin while Scott Frendo-Cumbo, PhD from the @karolinskainstteam of @ryden_mikaeljoined the @IPMC_sophia of Antonny team. Great exchange!
Happy to share the work of Felix Klingelhuber, an amazing PhD student in my lab. We applied spatiotemporal proteomics to explore the dynamic redistribution of proteins within cells throughout cellular differentiation in adipogenesis.🧵

Science is key to stronger government and more effective policies. I had an excellent discussion with PM @JustinTrudeau today about the impact of government support for research. I’m proud of the momentum we’ve created and look forward to the work ahead.
