After a grueling 10-hour shift underground in a Kentucky coal mine, Michael McGuire—covered head to toe in black dust—rushed straight to Rupp Arena without changing or showering.

He had promised his 3-year-old son, Easton, his first University of Kentucky basketball game, and he refused to break it.The heartwarming photo of the tired father and his excited son in the stands went viral.

The Chants move to 17-7 on the year and have now won 4 straight, all being 10+ run ball games for CCU.
