Happy 95th Birthday to James Hong this week!
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he's been an amazing role model and community builder for the Asian American community in the entertainment industry for 70+ years when he first began acting in 1954!
Lao American Poet, member of the Horror Writer Association, past Science Fiction Poetry Association President, NEA Fellow in Literature, and non-profit consultant, @thaoworra is a guest of this year's symposium!
While this is not a formal post within the SFPA constitution it is permitted as an ad hoc role appointed by the executive committee to advance our continuing mission to reach out to established and emerging poets and communities engaging with the speculative arts. Keep amazing!
So, for the quick update for everyone, it was decided that it was more practical for us to pivot this account from SFPAPresident to Ambassador b/c prior SFPA President @thaoworra has more time & opportunity to make use of this account for items of #SFFPoetry interest :) Thank you
