The SFPD’s Annual Bring Your Child to Work Day was another huge success! From drone demonstrations to K9's, our members enjoyed showcasing their work to their loved ones. Thank you to all those who made this spectacular event possible.
It was a wonderful evening at the Irish Cultural Center where we had the Sunset District Community Open House. Taraval Station joined the Mayor, the Supervisor, and multiple city departments to answer questions and provide resources to members of the district.

SFPD TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT: We're cracking down on traffic violations to keep our streets SAFE. Our officers are out in force issuing citations all over SF.
The SFPD is committed to keeping our streets safe for everyone. Through ongoing traffic enforcement, we enforce the laws that protect both motorists and pedestrians.
UPDATE: An arrest has been made in the homicide that occurred on Mar 24 on the 2200 block of 22nd Ave. Investigators developed probable cause to arrest 25 yo. Nation Wood of SF.

Taraval's own Officer Phyo was honored last night, at City Hall, with the Department's "Officer of the Week" Award. As one Lieutenant stated, Officer Phyo "consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication, reliability, and professionalism." Congratulations Officer Phyo!
Last night, Sgt. Tang was recognized by the Coalition of Asian-American Government Employees for his contributions to keeping our communities safe. @SFPDChiefLew stopped by the ceremony to congratulate him on this honor!
WATCH: In Dec, SFPD's RTIC coordinated a response to safely apprehend a fleeing suspect driving dangerously through city streets.
The members involved were recognized for their efforts at our latest Officer of the Month Awards Ceremony.

Little Star Preschool invited Officer Butler from Taraval Station to talk to the kids about safety. He had a great time speaking with more than 75 preschoolers. They presented him with a wonderful thank‑you card at the end, and he made sure everyone received an SFPD sticker!
