Species Spotlight: Great Egret (Ardea alba)
The Great Egret is a striking marsh bird with snow-white plumage, a yellow beak, and long black legs.
This species resembles the Great Blue Heron, with a similar curved neck and long dagger-like bill - however, Great Egrets are slightly smaller than Great Blue Herons.
Great Egrets live in shallow wetlands, including mudflats, marshes, and ponds, where they primarily hunt small fish, insects, and amphibians.
The global construction sector is thriving, with new buildings rising, but too often not following sustainable practices.
This article highlights the urgent need for the industry to adopt greener practices to meet environmental targets and to meet the #ParisAgreement. https://t.co/lGUsatC4Qr
