@DarkGalBit089 Only other thing I can think of is check that you have the correct version of the game. If you dont have the most up to date one, the translation file doesn't work. Beyond that, the start of the game DOES have a black screen for a bit until the text starts (along with wind)

@Snowyllight For the save file, if you just want to go to the new content, there is a built in skip function if you start a new game (The little yellow circle on the first screen, hold action as you walk by)
