AEEE is proud to announce the #launch of Phase 2 of the Development of the Integrated Carbon Assessment (Embodied and Operational) Framework for Reducing Buildings’ Carbon Footprint (#DiCarb) — a collaborative initiative between #SaintGobain Research India (SGRI) and #AEEE.

This phase will strengthen efforts to quantify and reduce whole life carbon emissions from India’s building sector by assessing diverse typologies (commercial and residential) across different climatic zones in collaboration with third-party developers.

The thematic track at WSDS 2025 addressed India's urgent need for enhanced energy efficiency and thermal comfort, particularly in the face of rapidly escalating cooling demands. ✨⚡️🎆

The track emphasized the necessity of integrating passive and active cooling strategies, blending traditional wisdom with modern innovations, to create sustainable and low-energy solutions.

The session underscored the need for strengthened partnerships among government, industry, and research institutions to transform India's built environment into a global model for sustainable thermal comfort and energy efficiency, ultimately contributing to India's Viksit Bharat vision. 📈📊🏙️

An MOU was also signed between Indian Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Producers Association and TERI, during the session.
