South Pasadena's Mia Holden is heading to the state finals in the girls 300 hurdles on Saturday night. Holden finished third in her heat in 43.27 which was the sixth best mark overall.
South Pasadena's Keeran Murray grabbed the last qualifying spot in the boys 800 prelims tonight, finishing third in his heat at 1:54.63, the ninth best mark overall. So, Murray punches his ticket to the state finals.
Walnut's Phil Cotton 22-0 1/4 and Bishop Amat's Brandyn Weatherspoon 21-11 3/4 were 22nd and 24th overall in the boys long jump prelims at the state championships, missing spots in Saturday's state finals.
