Thatβs what I love most about Heather in Silent Hill 3. She just feels so real. The way she talks, reacts, and expresses herself feels genuinely human.
One thing the SH2 Remake lacked in my opinion is how you can't interact with random objects to see James' thoughts. It just adds to the immersion and the character you're playing as when you can do that, and I hope that it's added in some capacity in future remakes and games-
Text interactions will always be my favorite design choice, as a great excuse to push the gameplay experience into absolute silence. I do not mind when modern horror titles lets the character speak during the gameplay but, I admit to deeply prefer when silence is the protagonist.
@SH3Enjoyer This is an element that's missing from most survival horrors these days. It added so much to the character when you could examine the environment. It made you WANT to explore every nook and cranny of a room for items or subtext.
Been loving #HellraiserRevival so far. About 6 hours in, and it's been amazing the entire time. Chatterer was a bit rude though and got me a couple times lol
@letzshake333 I think that makes sense. His characterization in the remake is really good and I enjoyed it, but I think it's also just an iconic part of classic Silent Hill games too to have, so it's easy to miss having it
This game reminded me alot of that Robocop game that came out recently. By that I mean both games are beautifully crafted love letters to their source materials that don't try and reinvent the wheel. But they roll with it. If you're looking for an interesting narrative that takes place in the Hellraiser universe that feels like more of a sequel then most of the sequels. Than this game is for you.
If you can get over some clunkiness and jank but nothing too game breaking. Then this is easily an 8 or a 9 experience.
In Townfall, they added an inner thoughts dialogue when you interact with objects, so maybe they could implement something like that when you look at objects around the game. (I just want to see 'It's bread' back in its full glory too.)
