@BarackObama Tax payers want waste and fraud cut out of government spending. Get with the program and urge democrats to back a clean, responsible spending bill. Our debt dictates that we tighten the belt.

The carpet is being installed this week, so the wall color needs to be selected. Having trouble.....leaning towards the lighter of the two. But the darker could be cool too.

Alright, the furnace is turned on. It isn't even November yet, but it is 60 degrees in here. I am getting old. The thermostat is set at 65, and it is already helping.

@ElijahSchaffer Hey, E, have you ever heard of an app called Hallow? My favorite part is a men's daily devotional by Chris Stafanick. He has a great perspective. The daily gospel and reflections with Jeff Gavens is also a great resource. Give it a look. It helps me get into a good place.

Haircut scheduled for Tuesday. Wheeling barber has been booked for a week. Long overdue and can't wait.

The backyard lilac has been rough this summer. Many of the leaves curled and fell off. Then, at the beginning of October, it produced a bloom. I think it is asking for another chance. I guess I'll see what spring brings

@Patriota_81 So the govt employees are on their annual one, or two week paid vacation? It is more of a reward for the minions. If it were really a shut down, all the people "working" in DC would be angry right now. No work, no pay. Otherwise, there is no pressure for anything to be done
