This (completely unofficial) account, an offshoot of @PatsFballBlog, is run with the knowledge of the Saint Helena Football Association. It aims to provide some sort of focal point on Twitter for those interested in the game on the island, and beyond.
I have a little project on football on Saint Helena planned, at least in my head, so if any Saints reading this have played football on-island in the past, I'd like to hear from you. Kindly leave a DM here or via the mothership accounts here (@PatsFballBlog) or on Facebook.
Due to a referees' training course not taking place on time, the start of the domestic football season was delayed for a week, but it did kick off last Saturday. Most of you are probably already aware of the results, but here they come..
@dclements54 Sorry for the late reply; I've been busy with other things which have got in the way! Regarding footage, if I can get hold of any, I'll post it. There are plenty of photos on Facebook at the SHFA account there if you want to take a peek.
We have news! The 2021 football season will kick off on 19 June, and will feature eight teams. Sadly, Crystal Rangers are no more, and have been replaced by Ballez FC (pronounced Balls, not Ballé).
The line-up: Rovers; Bellboys; Wirebirds; Lakers; Harts; Axis; Saints; Ballez FC
@The2ndHalf_ Hello and sorry for the late reply; yes, the SHFA are making plans to take part in the tournament and have been fundraising, but this has temporarily been put on hold to basically give everybody a bit of a breather!

The SHFA held its annual AGM last month, and training for the youth leagues and those on the Saints international panel got under way in the last week and a half or so. No news yet on a concrete start date for the 2021 season.
Greetings, one and all; hope you're all well and in good form. Time to get the dust off the covers, as preparations for the season ahead are well under way.
Well, hello everybody, and a rather belated Happy New Year (yup, it's been that long) to any and all of you who don't venture over to the #mothership. Just checking in. Hope all's well. Meanwhile, there's nothing to report from on-island..

Congratulations to Bellboys, the new holders of the Knockout Cup!
Bellboys 0:0 Rovers
(FT/AET; Bellboys 5:4 on penos)
It's Bellboys' first major honour since 2010, and it's well-deserved after such a terrific season. @BSalopian will be pleased..
⚽️👏👏👍
And then to the final of the Knockout Cup, which was played on Saturday between league champions Rovers and runners-up Bellboys. But, who would prevail??
Drum-roll, please!
The semi-finals of the Knockout Cup took place the weekend before the one just past, and here, my friends, are the results:
Rovers 10:1 Lakers
Bellboys (@BSalopian) 3:2 Wirebirds (@MottysMic)
