Through this evening (our third evaluation session), our Commission has reviewed 110 designs and has given a nod to move forward with more discussion and evaluation of nine of those. There are 78 more designs to review.

Appreciative of all of the volunteers participating in this discussion, this process. It's evolved, yet our mission remains: find the best way to honor those who were taken.

Our Commission has completed night 2 of 6 in evaluating the 188 designs that have been submitted for considerstion. Appreciative of the designers who spent countless hours trying to find a way to honor those lost in Newtown. Thankful to them.

Times and locations of our evaluation discussions are posted on https://t.co/pyfrL4Ptf2. It is our goal, through these discussions, to cull down the list of 188 designs to a more digestible number for further, more intimate evaluation and discussion with those most impacted.

The Sandy Hook Permanent Memorial Commission has received 188 design submissions to be considered and evaluated over the next several weeks for a memorial that remembers, honors and celebrates the 26 lives lost on December 14th, 2012.
