The influencer telling you to distrust your doctor has no liability if they are wrong.
Your physician does.
That asymmetry matters. It should factor into who you listen to.
BLANCHE: Who the president chooses to pardon is not a problem, period
IVEY: What's the legal basis for that statement?
BLANCHE: The Constitution
IVEY: The Constitution does not give him the authority to pardon in exchange for payments. It does not permit bribery
When your life is on the line, you want the expert.
When the topic is vaccines or agriculture suddenly everyone thinks a Google search makes them equally qualified.
The problem was never expertise.
The problem is that expertise tells people things they don’t want to hear.
My father was hospitalized when he fell down the stairs, got Covid in hospital, and his then-mild dementia accelerated with extreme rapidity, and he died within the year.
My story is not unique. How many millions of people is this happening to?
THE WAY TO DEAL with the current US Ambassador to Canada is to stop inviting him to meetings and events. Decline his invitations to embassy functions.
There’s no point PNG’ing him. He’s the president’s man in Canada. Fair enough.
Ignore him for all but essential interactions.
Charlie Angus: "Israel's announced that they're going to go ahead with the ethnic cleansing of Gaza. This is a war crime ... Either the international rule of law stands for something or it's a joke. Either we have the Statute of Rome and we hold gangster criminal regimes to account, or hey, you can do what you want, because the next country will do what they want. That can't be allowed to happen."
Proud to be the first high school student in the world to ever be sanctioned by an authoritarian regime for uncovering corruption. It just proves that the work I’ve done to expose Russias sanctions evasion stablecoin, A7A5, has touched a raw nerve.

Doug Ford: ‘Teachers are lazy! It’s insane that they get 2 months off during the summer!’
Also Doug Ford: ‘There’s nothing wrong with us getting a 3 month winter vacation and a 5 month vacation over summer! We work so hard!’
Doug Ford is having a bad time.
His luxury jet purchase blew up in his face. His scandals keep piling up.
So he shut down the legislature for 102 days.
While Ontarians struggle with grocery prices – the Premier is hiding.
Ford has doubled Ontario’s debt in less than 8 years.
Record food bank usage & homelessness, record ER wait times, record number of Ontarians without a doctor, record debt loads at Ontario universities & hospitals…
We have nothing to show for Ford’s wasteful spending.
Rep. Keating to Rubio: "I'm sure you're aware that Ukraine, country that at the time had third-largest nuclear arsenal, peacefully turned over their nuclear weapons in conjunction with Budapest Memorandum.
And in exchange for U.S. commitment to defend Ukraine if it ever came under threat. The U.S. gave its word to Ukraine that it would defend them.
And I find this amazing. In your opening remarks, as you took us all over the world and mentioned 15 different incidents where you have interceded — 15, the top 15 — not once did you mention Ukraine when you were prioritizing achievements that are there."
During a hearing in the U.S. Congress today, Secretary of State Marco Rubio was asked whether he was aware that Greenland is part of Denmark. His response was: “For now.”
It is worth recalling a few basic facts.
Greenland’s future is for the Greenlandic people to decide, in accordance with the 2009 Self-Government Act, which recognizes the Greenlandic people’s right to self-determination. That decision will not be made in Washington, but in Greenland.
Until the Greenlandic people decide otherwise, Greenland remains part of the Kingdom of Denmark. This status is recognized under international law, where respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity is among the most fundamental principles of the international order.
Greenland is also part of NATO through the Kingdom of Denmark. The United States has maintained a significant military presence in Greenland for decades and at one point operated up to 17 military bases and installations across Greenland. Under the 1951 Defense Agreement between Denmark and the United States, later updated through the 2004 Igaliku Agreement, signed in Igaliku, Greenland, by U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, Denmark and Greenland, the United States already has the ability to establish or reopen military facilities in Greenland in cooperation with Denmark and Greenland.
There is therefore no security rationale that justifies discussions about American ownership of Greenland.
The idea of purchasing territories or acquiring parts of sovereign countries belongs to another era. That is not how modern allies conduct themselves in the 21st century.
If members of the U.S. administration believe that such statements enjoy broad support among the Greenlandic people, they are gravely mistaken. Political signals from Greenland have repeatedly shown that Greenlanders expect their right to determine their own future to be respected.
Neither Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, nor any future American president should decide Greenland’s future.
That right belongs exclusively to the Greenlandic people, in accordance with the Self-Government Act and the international principle of self-determination.
Greenland’s future belongs to the people of Greenland. Not Washington. Not any other capital. The decision belongs to the Greenlandic people — and to them alone. Period.
Hello Toronto. The reason for EMS delay isn't primarily due to bike lanes. It's because EMS faces delays in the ER - where I work - in offloading. The problem is increasing with a shortage of ER beds. From the 2024 Toronto Auditor General's report.

Long COVID is an existential threat to all of the psychiatrists who have loudly attached themselves to pseudoscientific explanations for the illness. I've been saving quotes and have some funny (horrifying) ones, that I think are important to preserve for historical accuracy.
More of CNN's false equivalence language. Ukraine is not targeting St. Petersburg, but striking military installations, Russian warships, and oil refineries. It's the Russian terror state that strikes cities and targets civilians. https://t.co/Cy7DgqtkuT
BREAKING: 7 SESSIONS!! Doug Ford was present for in one year.
I know as well as anyone how much work MPs and MPPS do away from legislatures but this is still outrageous.
If you can't be questioned in a democracy it's not a democracy
John Fraser on why the Ford government is avoiding the legislature: "They don't want to be held accountable for the things that are happening because it's a government that's eight years in. It's tired, out of touch and losing its way."
🚨 The House just voted 218-204 to move forward on the discharge petition to provide military aid to Ukraine and impose tough sanctions on Russia. The House will vote on final passage tomorrow. This is our Churchill moment and we must pass the test.
