Tonight, Connellsville and Southmoreland formally introduced their new rivalry football game, the "Battle of 119."

Coaches and senior players gathered for a press conference and photos at Russ Grimm Field.

The inaugural game will be 7 p.m. Friday at Connellsville.

Coaches Dustin Shoaf (Southmoreland) and Jace McClean (Connellsville) want the game to be a yearly event on the schedule.

Division I Mercyhurst offers Southmoreland rising senior linebacker Dawson Wolfe, who also plays quarterback for the Scotties.

Wolfe is a big, physical presence at 6-2, 230. Had 66 tackles, 8 for loss, a sack, two caused fumbles, two fumble recoveries as a junior.

Also passed for 1,141 yards and 12 TDs, rushed for 337 yards and 9 TDs.
