What a great class we had talking to @AdrianaMallozzi !! We discussed the importance of properly fitting wheelchairs and listening to our patients! Thank you for your time Adriana, you brought a smile to all our faces😁
On the last day of #OTMonth, here's a tip from AOTA President @ajlamb1216 : “Next time someone asks what you do for a living, paint the picture of how you’ve taken a problem and turned it into a solution.” #WhatOTCanDo
Embrace and find the strengths in your differences.
Talk to, listen, and keenly observe your clients.
It’s okay to stumble, just get up and move on.
A few themes from #AOTA18. AOTA members can watch recordings here: https://t.co/NSL3zMSTO1
"Let's own who we are and be proud to do so! Let's honor our clients' occupations and they will forever know what #occupationaltherapy is." Ray Cendejas quoted in @ajlamb1216's address. #aota18
And that's a wrap! We hope you had an amazing #AOTA18! Safe travels home, everyone! Will we see you in New Orleans for #AOTA19? Laissez les bon temps rouler!
At the AOTA business meeting we found that of all OT/OTAs in the US only 27% are AOTA members. Think of our collective power/voice/advocacy if we get that up only another 10%

And that’s a wrap for #AOTA18! Our students learned so much & have so many ideas to bring back to campus. Keep up to date with all things Sacred Heart University OT here, & help us continue to expand our social media horizons. It was great to meet so many of our Twitter friends!
