Summerhill School with Wall Heath and Kingswinford War Memorial Group have provided plaques that will go on the homes of soldiers killed in World War 1. The 1st plaque went up yesterday on the home of William J. Jones, Wall Heath. William was sadly killed near Basra, Iraq in 1916

So proud to say that tonight the second memorial plaque was put up on a house in Broad Street, Kingswinford, the home of John Thomas Slater, originally of the Lincolnshire Regiment. John was gassed while serving in France and died as an effect of his service. Our forever heroes!
