@Mattectomy Definitely an interesting use of a loophole. Last I know he was at NAS Jacksonville...maybe the Marlins should have taken him and he could practice with their AAA team until he's eligible? Guess he could cross the state to Clearwater when off duty.
This seems like a rather unfair loophole. The Red Sox would have had to put him on the 40-man to protect him, but the Phillies can select him without having to put him on the 40-man?
