@nyandcompany I’ve tried calling and emailing customer service several times in the past three weeks with no answer. Does anyone actually work in customer service there?? I couldn’t return my order and can’t get any help!!
@dunkindonuts what happened to the free coffee on your birthday?? Extra points for a purchase is a slap in the face to those of us who are loyal dunkin rewards program users!
If you know anyone who is going to turn 65 soon remind them to enroll in regular Medicare & not a Medicare advantage plan. A family member recently needed acute rehab & the social workers delight at not needing prior auth bc they had straight Medicare was an excellent reminder.
I CANNOT TELL YOU LOUDLY ENOUGH, DO NOT LET A CHIROPRACTOR NEAR YOUR GODDAMN NECK.

Responsibility with no authority is the most demeaning thing…and it’s the story of healthcare.
Clinicians have responsibility to answer their patients’ questions…but no authority to book patients for more than 10-minute visit lengths. That’s the time squeeze set by admin/corporations running the clinic…
Patients have responsibility for their health…but no authority over the resources they need to better it — specialist visit? Need a referral. Medication? Need prior auth. Surgery? Out of network…
Clinicians have responsibility for patient satisfaction, but no authority to fix staffing shortages, long wait times, dirty bathrooms…again, third parties hold the power (and the budget) to fix those issues…
Healthcare works together as a team, but we’ve unfortunately allowed our authority to be stolen by third parties: insurance, corporations, private equity, etc…the misbalance between power and responsibility is where we are all left disenfranchised. No wonder burnout is so prevalent, for clinicians and patients both.
I've been on the planet for 53 years and I still have yet for a single Conservative to satisfactorily explain to me why anyone's body, gender identity, sexual orientation, family, or marriage is any of their damn business.
If a nurse comes to you concerned about a patient, be concerned about that patient and go see them right then. Nurses spend more time at the bedside than we do, and they know when a patient has a clinical change. Listen to them.
If you work in the outpatient setting and are sending your patient to the ER, please don’t say they’ll be seen immediately since you’re calling ahead, and don’t tell them the ER is expecting them.
… volumes are high everywhere, and false expectations make things difficult 🙏🏻🙏🏻
A neurosurgery case of decompressive #hemicraniectomy. A hemicraniectomy is performed to allow the brain to swell during #stroke or #trauma episodes (SDH in this case). Since skull can’t be expanded. via @scientissimum
Whenever my 6yo daughter gets a compliment on her witch costume she says ‘thanks! It’s got a holder for my broom!’ and I think this is the adult equivalent of getting a compliment on a dress and immediately pointing out that it has pockets. #Halloween#Parents#parenting
