It's time to meet our secretary Seb Scott! Seb is a second year PhD student (third year @SAMBa_CDT) researching how machine learning can be used in solving inverse problems, such as those arising in medical imaging applications. He also has a black belt in karate!! 🥋

Let's introduce our treasurer Jeremy Worsfold! Jeremy is a third year PhD student (fourth year @SAMBa_CDT ) who researches collective motion and stochastic interacting particle systems. Outside of maths he spends much of his time either playing or watching some sort of sport. ⚽️

Meet our publicity officer Alex Trenam! Alex is a second year PhD student (third year @AapsCdt ) researching structure-preserving numerical methods for battery electrolyte models. In his free time he enjoys cooking and also releases music under the name Eskafell. 🎤🎧

Next up we have our vice president Kat Phillips! Kat is a third year PhD student (fourth year @SAMBa_CDT) who researches the lubrication layer arising from impacting droplets. In her spare time she streams maths communication on Twitch as @KatDoesMaths - check out her content! ��

We begin our introductions with our president Jenny Power! Jenny is a second year PhD student (third year @SAMBa_CDT ) researching the mathematical modelling of radiotherapy cancer treatments. She is also a huge musical theatre fan and has been performing since age four! 🎤💃
