Quite often the answer lies in the disheartening outcomes faced by those who have dared to speak out.
In T&T, almost 1 in 3 women experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime.
For the 2-year period from March 2020- March 2022, the TTPS received more than 6,000 reports of domestic violence, almost 5,000 of which came from women.
