You have to be Bettman smart to find new ways to undermine what was already arguably not even the bare minimum of support for inclusion. @PR_NHL what am I supposed to tell my son who's parroting your Hockey is for Everyone slogan when he sees this? Just fucking be better.
The NHL clarified today that there is a league wide ban on Pride Tape by any player in games, warm-ups, or practices.
It's 2023 and there's now a new "Don't Say Gay" set of rules issued by a major international sports league.
I literally cannot.

Matt Cooke got run out of multiple towns for less. Who would even think to do that with their stick? How is this joke of a human being still in the league?
"The guys have played above and beyond what we expected from them this year. I'd be doing them a disservice if I didn't bring in some help to push for a playoff spot." -GM Borau on recent acquisition from the @SichlB, Yanni Gourde
@KailerMemeamoto Leaving it purely in the hands of the refs has resulted in egregious, game changing playoff errors. Taking a little extra time to get it right doesn't bother me. Zone time limit you can go back to challenge needs to be a thing though. Beyond the initial rush it's on the D.
Doing this to Marchand is like when Bullock beats up E.B. in Deadwood. Whether he deserved it that particular time or not, we all knew he deserved it in the aggregate.
@wwwebsurfer01@AdjustedHockey@DailyFaceoff Well, Sakic is clearly the clutch GOAT if we're talking playoff OT performance. But regardless, teams ice 19 players with goalies having a disproportionate impact on outcomes. Kane's playoff performances are ahead of Matthews for sure, but that's a small part of a bigger picture.
@AdjustedHockey@DailyFaceoff Agreed, and the value of goals over assists works in Matthews' favor too. The most likely thing to stop Matthews from surpassing Kane are health issues IMO, as durability has been an issue at times. The back half of his career could end up looking like a more goal heavy Malkin.
@DanMaye43063391@AdjustedHockey@DailyFaceoff That being said, Kane was a slightly better early career individual playoff performer than Matthews so that goes in Kane's favour. 2/2
@DanMaye43063391@AdjustedHockey@DailyFaceoff It's not basketball where there's only 5 starters that play almost 3/4 of the game. I don't see value in tying individuals to team accomplishments of a team of 19 especially when one of the 19 has a disproportionately large effect on game outcomes. 1/2
@dmxfury@AdjustedHockey@MattGajtka Yeah, he jumps ahead of 99. If you go by Goals Created instead of points it gets even higher above 99. Even sillier when you think he missed 3 seasons where he was still by far the best player due to retirement.
