Today, I joined His Excellency President E.D. Mnangagwa and thousands of fellow Zimbabweans at the National Sports Stadium to watch the National Warriors battle against the DRC. Although the outcome was not what we had hoped for, the Warriors fought valiantly. We cannot win every match in life; sometimes we lose, but we draw valuable lessons from our losses.
President @edmnangagwa was watching the game live at the National Sports Stadium, with DRC winning 2-1 against Zimbabwe. Even if we lost narrowly, it is comforting to see that Zimbabwe can host international games, through the infrastructure developments by the 2nd Republic. Present is Dr @paultungwarara , Dr Tagwirei, Minister Rtd Lt Gen Sanyatwe and ZIFA leader Magwizi. Thanks to President @edmnangagwa , we can now host international games!
In his recent address on the impending El Niño‑induced drought, President @edmnangagwa underscored a simple but powerful expectation: Zimbabwe must move from plans to results. The nation faces a climate challenge that demands coordination and leadership that is rooted in delivery. Responding to this directive, Dr. @paultungwarara has intensified his War Veterans Continuous Tours, ensuring that the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme is not just a policy on paper but a commitment made by the President @edmnangagwa that the country should be food secure. The Bindura tour was just another indicator of commitment, we have mobilized rigs, and ensuring that water access becomes a reality in drought‑prone areas. President @edmnangagwa is not just stopping in Bindura, the El Nino response will cover all provinces. The impact is visible: boreholes drilled, communities empowered, and local institutions strengthened, the president is delivering!!!!
Today, I had the privilege of representing His Excellency, President Cde Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa, in Bindura, Mashonaland Central, for the official launch of the RIG Presidential Borehole Drilling Programme under the auspices of the Presidential War Veterans Fund.
It was an absolute honor to be in Mashonaland Central, a Province that remains the resolute heartbeat of ZANU PF, as demonstrated by its clean 18/18 parliamentary sweep and resounding Presidential victory in the 2023 Harmonised Elections.
This initiative builds upon the foundation established when His Excellency previously launched the Presidential War Veterans Revolving Empowerment Fund with an initial seed capital of USD $1.5 million distributed across all provinces. The RIG Drilling Programme is a strategic, secondary intervention conceived by the President to accelerate rural development and economic self-reliance. Having successfully rolled out this program in Manicaland and now Mashonaland Central, our target remains a comprehensive nationwide deployment.
Under this scheme, every war veteran will have a commercial borehole drilled at their homestead. Operating on an enterprise business model, the drilling rigs themselves will be commercially owned and managed by the provincial War Veterans associations. While veterans are not expected to conduct manual drilling operations, a seamless commercial model has been structured: upon completion of a homestead borehole, an invoice is submitted to the contracted operational firm for immediate settlement. These proceeds are then systematically reinvested back into the veterans’ provincial developmental funds.
Prior to departing for Bindura this morning, I paid a courtesy call on His Excellency, President E.D. Mnangagwa. Demonstrating his unwavering dedication to the welfare of our liberation stalwarts, His Excellency generously released USD $150,000 targeted at War Collaborators; Ex-Political Prisoners, Detainees, and Restrictees; and Non-Combatant Cadres, with each wing allocated USD $50,000. In strict alignment with the new ZANU PF Party Empowerment Regulations, we have officially handed over these funds to the Party Finance Department, led by Cde Patrick Chinamasa. The distribution to beneficiary wings will commence imminently under guidelines established by the Secretary-General of the Party, Advocate Jacob Mudenda.
Additionally, I was proud to deliver 3,000 food hampers generously provided by His Excellency for distribution to our esteemed war veterans across Mashonaland Central.
To support the immediate operational fuel requirements of the drilling rig, I express our profound gratitude to Hon. Senator K. Tagwirei (USD $10,000), businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo (USD $10,000), and Hon. Scott Sakupwanya (USD $10,000) for their generous pledges.

I met His Excellency this morning as I headed out to Bindura, Mashonaland Central Province, for the official launch of the RIG borehole drilling equipment on behalf of President E.D. As Zimbabwe braces for the effects of an impending El Niño‑induced drought, sustainable water solutions have become a national priority. Dr. @paultungwarara is leading efforts to secure reliable water access through the War Veterans Borehole Drilling Program, a key initiative under the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme. The program deploys heavy‑duty rigs across drought‑prone communities, ensuring that every household and institution can access clean, safe water. By investing in borehole infrastructure, the 2nd Republic as led by President @edmnangagwa is not only mitigating the impact of climate shocks but also empowering rural livelihoods, strengthening food security, and advancing Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030. This initiative embodies a simple truth: water is life, and sustainable access to it is the foundation of resilience.
SIEA Cyber Team has landed in Bindura for the War Veterans rally to be graced by the Special Investment and Empowerment Presidential Advisor Dr @paultungwarara. Dr @paultungwarara is a workaholic, he told us to be at the venue in time, to cover this phenomenal program. Comrades @chrissy10charu@chabatatafguy and Cde Tinei, here in the picture are here present. Nhume Baba!
Before the Bindura war veterans rally, Dr @paultungwarara met with the his Boss @edmnangagwa to give a report and heads-up on the War veterans rally. Come to Bindura, we are here!
On 24 September 2025, Dr @paultungwarara , Presidential Advisor and Group Chairman of Prevail Group of Companies, pledged to fast track the completion of doctors’ quarters, a project dormant for nearly two decades. Speaking during a government tour led by Dr. Joram Gumbo, Special Advisor to the President, Dr. Tungwarara emphasized that quality healthcare infrastructure is key to a healthier, more productive nation. The initiative marks renewed commitment by President @edmnangagwa's Government to strengthen Zimbabwe’s healthcare system through tangible development.
I was fascinated listening to President @edmnangagwa speech and assertion that “international law cannot be a shield for some and a sword against others”. It cuts deep to the central pathology of contemporary international relations, the selective enforcement and application of supposedly universal norms and international standards. When legality becomes contingent on geopolitical power, the rules-based order collapses and ceases to be a framework of justice and becomes an instrument of hierarchy. International law must discipline power, not rationalise its privileges. This speech is one of the most powerful speeches from African Presidents, it is a classic defense of multilateralism’s foundational promise of sovereign equality. Kudos!
Save the date, Dr @paultungwarara will be live from Mashonaland Central, Bindura for the War Veterans Empowerment Program. In war veterans, we believe!
