Today, we commemorate Black Women’s Equal Pay Day! This day sheds light on institutional racism and the fight towards realizing pay equity. At SIF, we acknowledge the lived experiences and injustices Black women face and work towards better supporting them in our community.
Today the International Day for the Remembrance of Slave Trade and its Abolition is commemorated. This day raises awareness about the horrific actions and behaviors during the slave trade, makes memory of those whose lives were lost, and celebrates people’s fight towards freedom.
