Sadly I was a victim of a sim swap last night...
It happens to people all the time. Still working through how it happened to me. I think I've boiled it down a family member being compromised.
Sadly I lost a little over 35k on this one and it burns so bad.
According to the FBI, #SIMSwaps are now 15-times more likely to happen than a few years ago. In 2021, the bureau recieved over 1,600 complaints totaling an overall loss of $68 million.
