The Journalist Norah Vincent, worked on this social experiment, where she disguised herself and lived as a man for 18 months. She initially did it to prove that society was a patriarchy and that men had it easier than women.

After the process, she found out that the outcome was the opposite in every way possible - and her experiences living as man was so harrowing and depressing, that she was institutionalised and suffered from severe depression for years after the experiment.

Vincent's death was announced August 2022, and people found out that she went to Switzerland for the "deed".
