OnlyFans just told every creator: use AI wrong and we will permanently ban you, freeze your money and send your case to law enforcement.
This is not a slap on the wrist. This is the strictest AI policy on any adult platform right now.
And most creators have no idea it happened.
🤯 The UK House just made the step content category a criminal offense.
One vote decided it.
Five things SWers need to know this week👇
1️⃣ Federal Rule on Banking Access
The OCC and FDIC finalized a rule removing "reputational risk" as grounds for banks to deny services to lawful businesses.
This is the mechanism that has driven debanking of adult businesses for years.
It doesn't force banks to work with us. But the regulatory cover they've been hiding behind just got pulled.
2️⃣ UK House Votes to Criminalize Step Content
House of Lords passed it by one vote.
Step or foster relation content where one person is depicted as under 18 is now headed toward criminal penalties. Possession or distribution: up to 5 years.
One of the most produced content categories in the industry.
The bill still returns to the House of Commons for further consideration and the final language has not been fully confirmed.
3️⃣ Arizona's Consent Bill Gets Fixed
HB 2133 had a built-in impossibility. Keep records for 7 years. Also delete all identifying info after verification. FSC caught it and got it removed.
Warrantless inspections and law enforcement data sharing provisions also gone.
Still moving through the House. Worth watching.
4️⃣ Italian Court Limits EU Age Verification Enforcement
Italy can't currently enforce its AV rules against platforms based in other EU countries.
Country of origin principle. AGCOM skipped required steps. Enforcement against Aylo is on hold until they follow the full procedure.
Doesn't apply to US-based platforms. But it slows the EU enforcement wave for now.
5️⃣ South Africa Moving Toward SW Decriminalization
Bill is being finalized. Government commitment reaffirmed. Multi-department workshops done.
Still needs cabinet approval, parliament, public comment and a presidential signature.
But it's closer than it has ever been.
🤔 Which one of these is affecting how you think about your business right now?

👀 Payment processors just got called out.
Major adult sites are under investigation.
And your iPhone might now decide whether you can access adult content.
Here’s all the industry news you need to know from the last 7 days:
1️⃣ FTC Warns Payment Giants Over Debanking
The FTC sent warning letters to Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and Stripe about denying services to lawful businesses.
This matters because adult creators have long been affected by sudden payment shutdowns and account bans.
Payment access is the foundation of being able to operate at all.
2️⃣ EU Investigates Major Adult Platforms
Pornhub, XVideos, XNXX, and Stripchat could face major fines after regulators found they failed to properly restrict minors.
This kind of pressure often leads to stricter rules, regional restrictions, or shifts in how platforms operate.
Which directly affects traffic and reach.
3️⃣ Apple Rolls Out Age Verification on iPhones
Apple introduced device-level age checks in the UK using ID or payment verification.
This moves age verification away from platforms and onto the device itself.
That changes how users access content before they even reach a site.
4️⃣ Illinois Pushes Strict ID-Based AV Bill
Illinois is considering a bill requiring users to submit government ID or verified data to access adult websites.
Penalties could reach thousands per day for noncompliance.
We’re continuing to see state-by-state expansion across the U.S.
5️⃣ German Court Limits Platform-Wide Bans
A court ruled regulators cannot ban an entire adult creator’s Instagram account over content concerns.
Instead, enforcement must focus on specific posts.
This creates a boundary around how far regulators can go.
🤔 Curious what everyone is paying the most attention to right now. Which of these feels like it’s actually going to affect your day-to-day the most?

🚨 OnlyFans’ owner just died, raising questions about the future of the biggest platform in the adult creator economy.
At the same time, lawmakers keep pushing new rules that affect how creators earn and operate.
Here’s all the latest news you need to know:
1️⃣ OnlyFans Owner Dies, Platform Future Unclear
Leonid Radvinsky, the majority owner of OnlyFans, has passed away from cancer.
He played a key role in scaling the platform into one of the largest income sources for adult creators.
Now questions are being raised around ownership, potential sale talks, and long-term platform direction.
2️⃣ Section 230 Reform Back on the Table
The U.S. Senate held a hearing on potential changes to Section 230.
This law protects platforms from liability for user-generated content.
If weakened, platforms could face more lawsuits and stricter moderation pressure.
That has direct implications for adult content platforms.
3️⃣ Brazil Moves Forward With Age Verification Enforcement
Brazil released new guidelines requiring adult platforms to implement stronger age verification systems.
The law applies globally and includes fines based on platform revenue.
This affects access, traffic, and compliance for international creators.
4️⃣ Utah Signs Porn Tax + VPN Restrictions Into Law
Utah passed a law taxing adult content and holding platforms responsible if users bypass restrictions.
It also targets VPN usage.
This adds both financial pressure and tighter control over how users access content.
5️⃣ Ohio Advances Strict AV + Deepfake Bill
Ohio passed a bill requiring age verification and introducing penalties for deepfake adult content.
Fines can reach up to $100,000 per day for violations.
Another example of states tightening enforcement.
6️⃣ Court Ruling Expands Legal Protection for Sex Workers
A case in New South Wales ruled that failing to pay a sex worker can be prosecuted as assault.
This reframes how consent and payment are treated under the law.
7️⃣ FTC Reopens Discussion on Subscription Rules
The FTC is reviewing rules that could require platforms to make canceling subscriptions as easy as signing up.
If implemented, this could affect how fan subscriptions and recurring income models operate.
💬 If you had to pick one thing to pay attention to from this list, what would it be?
