the whole reason God designed sex for marriage is that, by design, sex carries the possibility of child-bearing

for the child to be a true blessing, the covenant of marriage creates space for the child to have a beautiful life

when a child is conceived outside the covenant of marriage, the problem of adoption, abortion, and other methods of getting rid of the child become present

this is not to say that the child's life is meaningless when conceived outside the covenant of marriage, but, by design, the covenant of marriage holds the space for the household to receive the child as a blessing

the burden of providing an incomplete life for the child is when the covenant of marriage is not present + the burden of caring for the child when the household is not mature and ready to take on the responsibility of another life

again, this is not to say that children are burdens, but, the responsibility of taking on another human life through conception is the reality of possibility when engaging in sex, with, or without marriage

marriage provides the framework for the child to be cared for maturely and responsibly
