Congratulations to the first five campuses in the #TeamSISD to earn the prestigious Project ADAM Heart Safe School designation: Capt. Walter E. Clarke Middle School, Eastlake High School, Socorro Middle School, Robert R. Rojas Elementary School, and Benito Martinez Elementary School! These campuses are setting the standard for student safety through CPR training, cardiac emergency preparedness, and rapid response planning. #TeamSISD is proud to be among the first districts in Region 19 implementing a standardized Cardiac Emergency Response Plan — with all 50 campuses on the path to becoming Heart Safe Schools.

Congratulations to Alvaro Avila, a senior at Socorro High School, for leading the Pledge of Allegiance at today’s board meeting. This year, he made a splash in school history as the first swimmer to qualify for the UIL State Championships.
