Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said there isn't a need for American ground troops in Iran, but "there are weeks more of this coming, then we'll make an assessment."

During the Senate Judiciary hearing yesterday, DHS @DHSgov Secretary Kristi Noem @KristiNoem told Senator Lindsey Graham that America faces a high risk of Islamic terrorist attacks in the homeland because we have so many Iranian proxies and sleeper cell living in the US who may lash out.

Graham and Noem then called out how absurd it is for elected Democrats to defund DHS right now, at a time when Islamic terrorists are plotting more attacks on US soil.

Clearly, Democrats care more about their menacing Muslim friends than the safety of Americans, which is what I have been saying for years.

An armed man trying to impede a lawful arrest is a recipe for disaster.

I expect law enforcement officers to use good judgement. But not to foolishly risk their lives or the lives of others.

As to the recent tragic shooting in Minnesota where Border Patrol agents used deadly force against an armed protestor trying to impede a lawful arrest, it is a direct result of the heated rhetoric and over the top reaction toward ICE —who are simply trying to enforce the law in sanctuary cities.

You have every right to protest and you have every right to disagree with President Trump. No one has the right to impede law enforcement officers carrying out their duties. If you go to such events with a loaded gun, bad things can happen.

The facts will be fully investigated, but for me having been a defense attorney and prosecutor who’s been around law enforcement officers, you have to understand the extreme pressure that Border Patrol and ICE agents are under in sanctuary cities.

These cities have willfully ignored federal law, creating massive fraud of benefits, a constant magnet for illegal immigration and a breakdown of law and order.

I will be introducing legislation to end sanctuary state and city polices once and for all because they rip off the taxpayer and cause extreme danger for those trying to clean up the mess in these liberal cities.

When you thought it couldn’t get more chaotic surrounding the Democrats obsession with maintaining sanctuary city policies, it just did.

Democrats are now backing out of a bipartisan agreement to fund DHS, which makes sure our border is secure and our immigration laws are enforced.

This is reckless and quite frankly, very disappointing. It appears that Democrats are so wedded to supporting people carrying guns trying to interfere with a lawful arrest that they will shut down the government.

This is a very bad idea at a time of extreme danger. Terrorists are everywhere in America. We need ICE.

We should be fully funding our border security programs, as well as ICE who is trying to clean up the mess created by liberal sanctuary city policies.

I will demand and expect a vote on my legislation to end the practice of sanctuary states and cities forever in America next week. Sanctuary city policies are leading to massive fraud, inducements to illegal immigration and a break down of law and order.

I hope Senator Schumer and his Democrat colleagues will reconsider their threat to not support funding for DHS and work with me to end the mess created by sanctuary city policies.

Now is not the time to defund one of our major national security priorities: border protection. Nor is it the right time to defund law enforcement trying to clean up the mess created by the Biden illegal immigrant invasion.
