Yesterday, I volunteered at the Eco Family Fest at Alto Winery. We taught kids about local fish species while they made fish prints and had their face painted. It was non-stop for the entire duration of the event! Hopefully we helped create some future fisheries professionals.
Thanks to everyone who came to our first AFS meeting of the school year! From left to right we have Kelli Hill (Secretary/treasurer), Lauren George (vice president), and Tanya Fendler (president) of the AFS SIU student subunit.
What should you do? Stay back and report sick seals. People and their pets should avoid all contact with sick or dead wildlife. HPAI is a โzoonotic diseaseโ that has the potential to spread between animals and people and their pets. https://t.co/LOsqIHR2tt
The AFS SIU Subunit is starting back up soon! Please visit our table at the FREE BBQ on Thursday Sept 7 by the Ag Building from 5-7pm to learn more about how we can help you achieve your fishery-related professional goals!
