What a weekend! ๐
Iโve been up at Hawes End Activity Centre in Keswick supporting some incredible cadets and adults through their Cadet Leadership 1 and Demonstrator training ๐
An amazing few days filled with fun, activities, learning and brilliant teamwork โ exactly what St John is all about!
Huge well done to everyone involved ๐
Today Iโm in York as part of my COP role for Cadet Programme Development, trialling new activities and gathering feedback at the NE Regional Youth Forum Conference.
Young people have taken part in breakout sessions exploring finance, planning Youth Forum activities, opportunities within a global organisation, and shaping the future of St John Digital.
A huge thank you for the invite, St John Ambulance โ inspiring to see youth voice in action! ๐

This weekend Iโm in Birmingham for the Youth Development Conference 2026 with @stjohnambulance
Itโs always energising to come together with passionate volunteers and youth leaders who are committed to shaping opportunities for young people.
Conferences like this are a reminder that youth development isnโt just about programmes and policies โ itโs about people, purpose, and potential.
Iโm looking forward to learning, sharing ideas, and bringing fresh inspiration back to the teams I work with.
โThe best way to predict the future is to create it.โ
โYoung people donโt just need opportunities โ they need adults who believe in their potential before they see it themselves.โ
Hereโs to investing in young people and empowering the next generation. ๐
Today I attended the Greater Manchester Christmas Carol Service at Rochdale Parish Church ๐
A proud moment as Hannah, outgoing Cadet of the Year, passed the role and lanyard to Gracie, incoming County Cadet of the Year, and Evie, Deputy County Cadet of the Year. ๐โจ
Today I attended the Greater Manchester County Badger & Cadet of the Year competition.
Huge congratulations to:
๐ County Cadet of the Year โ Gracie (Wigan Cadet Group)
๐ฅ Deputy County Cadet of the Year โ Evie (Bolton Cadet Group)
โญ County Badger of the Year โ Ava (Wigan Badger Sett)
An amazing achievement โ well done to you all! ๐
Went down to the Greater Manchester County Awards Evening to get my 1000 hours service for the year and had the biggest shock ๐ฑ of being awarded the Pride of St John Ambulance: Award for Significant Achievement
This weekend we had the pleasure of supporting the Bolton Food & Drink Festival with our brilliant Cadets โ and honestlyโฆ it was AWESOME! ๐
Our cadets were outstanding, picking up valuable CPD along the way, and itโs always a joy seeing them out on events alongside amazing volunteers. ๐

Over the weekend, I joined others at the Blackpool Air Show, supporting Youth in a Welfare role. Great to see them treating, shadowing, learning new skills, and completing CPD with the team! ๐ A massive well done & thank you to all involved! โ๏ธ๐
Last night, a group of our brilliant Cadets from Bolton Unit visited a local Brownie group to support them in earning their First Aid badge โ and what a fantastic evening it was! ๐
With the help of Resus Anne and Choking Charlie, the Cadets delivered engaging, hands-on demonstrations covering key first aid skills.
The Brownies were absolutely amazing โ curious, enthusiastic, and full of brilliant questions. Their energy made the evening a real joy for everyone involved.
Our Cadets were calm, knowledgeable, and confident throughout, showing just how much theyโve developed their skills. They received glowing feedback from the Brownie leaders, who were thoroughly impressed by their professionalism and passion.
๐ธ We havenโt shared photos as not all had consent โ but trust us, the smiles and laughter told the whole story!
A massive thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success. Opportunities like this really highlight what youth engagement and community spirit are all about.
They truly did #TeamBolton and St John Ambulance proud. ๐
