I just got into town for @TheNYRA ‘s Belmont Festival at Saratoga. First person I see is the ‘Treeshaker’ @TomAmossRacing He’s always been a Friend first, but professionally I’ve always been proud of what he’s done on TV with @FOXSports and their Belmont coverage. Privileged to have seen his talent early on when I worked with him at TVG. Speaking of, it’s ’Class Reunion Week’ here ! @SJBray will be joining the team on America’s Day at the Races on @FOXSports 1 & 2, Fri. & Sat. One of his shifts will be with me & @andyserling I’ll start tomorrow, Thursday at 2:25pm ET, hope you’ll find time to watch 🤓

Chip Honcho and Potente will skip the Belmont Stakes, per trainers Steve Asmussen and Bob Baffert. No confirmed next start for Chip. Potente runs in Matt Winn on June 7. Baffert said Crude Velocity to Woody Stephens. He also runs Brant there.

G1 Arkansas Derby winner RENEGADE breezed this morning outside last-out maiden winner POWERSHIFT in 49 and 4/5. HOF trainer Todd Pletcher said “we’ve always thought a lot of Powershift” and that the colt is now also possible for the @BelmontStakes. More later in @TheNYRA notes.
