@MrRenegade2020@markgoldbridge Same here! Ederson is 27 and has had 4 injuries. He's not injury prone so expect they're using this as an excuse not to sign him
@CeejayNIkid@UnitedStandMUFC I agree with the majority of what you said Calum (bar the insult). But I think we needed two 10s in the summer as we had no one capable of playing that position last season. But I agree we needed and still do need an experienced striker.
@GrahamHillWill@UnitedStandMUFC Devoted his life to playing a 3-4-3, and after they sold all our wingers, and failed to reinforce our midfield or fullbacks, and with all our players out. I just don't see how it would improve our situation making Amorim play a different system in our current state.
@GrahamHillWill@UnitedStandMUFC I do think Wilcox was wrong Graham. Yes, we haven't been playing well, but we're higher in the league than I expected us to be, and in a league position the hierarchy were happy with. I don't think we'd be in a better position if we were playing 4-2-3-1. Not with a manager that's
@GrahamHillWill@UnitedStandMUFC He advised ten Hag to use a false 9, which he did and we won. We could have won if he hadn't changed but we'll never know. But do we really want a DoF that interferes with a head coaches tactics? What's the point in having a head coach if Wilcox tells them how we have to play?
@markgoldbridge The most obvious clue to show that he didn't get sacked due to results or league position, is because they're happy to back Fletcher until the end of the season.
INEOS kept on a manager they had no faith in, openly canvassing Europe for his successor but then armed him with £200m to spend on players he wanted, and changed the backroom staff before sacking him anyway. They axed a sporting director, whose way of working was well established, because he did not fit in with how they wanted him to work. He warned them about selecting a head coach attached to a fixed style of play, which didn’t suit the squad and how expensive it would be to build a quality 3-4-3. They didn’t listen, insisted they believed wholeheartedly in Ruben Amorim’s approach, but then wouldn’t fully back it in the transfer market and asked him to change the tactical principles that attracted them to him. Some “best in class” decision-making…
@fpldwazza@UnitedStandMUFC I 100% agree that he has his issues, I'm also not a fan of the 3-4-3. I just don't feel his sacking is justified at this moment in time. The club begged him to come, knowing we didn't have the players to play his system, and they've sacked him because they haven't backed him.
@UnitedStandMUFC Why does it sound like they want us to applaud them for supporting Ruben, it's literally their jobs and in their best interests to support him as best they can.
@fpldwazza@UnitedStandMUFC We are 6th, 3pts of 4th. That's pretty good results for someone employed to play 3-4-3 and not given the players to play it.
