Today year 13 completed human geography fieldwork investigating the effects of regeneration in different areas of Boscombe, followed by a team run around the fieldwork centre before dinner! #geography#fieldwork@LeesonHouse
Our year 13 geographers have had dinner and are now working hard in their evening lesson completing statistical tests and analysis of the data collected today #geography#fieldwork
Year 13 have had a great first day in Swanage investigating coastal processes and sand dune succession at Studland beach. The weather has mostly been kind too!
A huge thank you to everyone who has given up their time to keep our #EcoGarden growing over the summer! It's still looking great and there's lots to take home and cook! Excited to meet all the new @sirjohnlawes Year 7 EcoGardeners in a few days and all our regular gardeners too!
Nevertheless, we made the most of the day and ended it with a sunset 🌇 swim at the lodge. We have a sunrise 🌅 swim planned for the morning! That's right... your kids are volunteering to wake up at sunrise! 🫢 Now, we have a nice dinner tonight at the lodge with some games!
Wow, last day already! Our flight is at 2pm so we leave the beach lodge at around 10am tomorrow. Most of the kids seem to want to swap their family and friends for more time here! Snorkelling today was OK... sadly, the visibility was poor, so it wasn't what we had hoped for...
Everyone is really happy and even though it's been hard work they have really enjoyed themselves. Tomorrow we head back to Kipepeo beach... For now, here are some photos from today.
Long day today and a lot of sun. We've finished our 'challenge' part of the trip- all the community work and hikes are over. Everyone is looking forward to some snorkeling and beach time. We had a nice trip to the beach today after a huge amount of cement mixing and plastering
Today, everyone worked really hard moving sand, stones & mixing cement. Then, they lay a concrete floor for the school library! We've played games with school kids and have also been for a swim at the beach! Tonight, it's chapattis and stew for dinner, made by the group!
Back at camp after a couple of great days hiking in the mountains. We have had a well-deserved rest day today. Tomorrow, we have an early wake-up, and we are off for our day in the national park to see some animals!
Our @sirjohnlawes#Worldchallenge group have safely arrived in Dar es Salaam. We are tired and hungry after a very long journey! But we are all very happy to be here!
