@Melbourne_MUFC2 I just think we need that Cavani/Zlatan type Impact, a proven goal scorer at the very highest level to help carry the load and develop Sesko. It’s a CL season, Get what you’re saying on wages though - they’d be astronomical.
I actually think United could do a lot worse then signing Lewandwoski on a year contract. We’ve got 1 number 9 heading into a CL season, he’d bring goals & Sesko would learn so much from him. It makes sense.
🚨 Jamie Carragher Slams Arsenal After Final Defeat to PSG
🗣️: "That might be the worst performance I've ever seen in a Champions League final. Honestly, Arsenal played like Getafe for 120 minutes. Ninety minutes of sitting deep, thirty more minutes of sitting even deeper.
I kept waiting for them to show some ambition, some courage, but the plan seemed obvious: survive, survive, survive and hope David Raya wins the penalty shootout.
This is the Champions League final, not a relegation battle. You can't spend two hours defending your own box and expect people to praise it as tactical genius.
Mikel Arteta got it completely wrong. PSG looked like they wanted to win the trophy; Arsenal looked like they were trying not to lose it. If your entire game plan is to get to penalties because you've got a good goalkeeper, you've already handed control of the final to the opposition.
For me, that's one of the poorest final performances this competition has ever seen."
The fact that Arsenal went the entire CL campaign without losing a game and still didn’t win the trophy is kind of mind blowing. They just needed to do more last night, be braver with the ball and attack PSG. 25% possession/1 shot on goal is really poor in a final.
I guess you could say, if you finish a game with stats of 25% possession & 1 shot on target it’s hard to feel too aggrieved that you lost. That’s just the reality of it.. they hardly had the ball.
You wouldn’t bet against PSG making it 3 in a row next year would you? They’ll definitely start as favourites, pretty clearly the best team in Europe right now.
Watching The Smashing Machine movie about Mark Kerr. Initial thoughts are it seems decent, however a 52 year old playing a (then) 28 year old Mark Kerr just doesn’t work. The Rock looks 52, not 28.
@Melbourne_MUFC2 It’s plausible.. even if Barca do decide to keep him, extend his loan maybe, how’s he going to get game time now? He needs to move on from Barca.
Surely if you’re Rashford you’re taking this Gordon news as a clear sign you’re not really wanted at Barca, and at best you’re plan B/C. He needs a new club. Barca were apparently haggling United down on Rashford, only to drop £70m on Gordon. They don’t want him.
@Melbourne_MUFC2 No mate that ship has sailed. His output at United in the last few seasons he was with us was so poor. Our team is slowly evolving past that era now and so be it. He doesn’t want it anyway.
I don’t think Gordon to Barca is going to go well personally. Barca will be expecting an awful lot for that money & I don’t think Gordon is good enough to meet their expectations.
Steve Holland, Jonny Evans, Jonathan Woodgate, Travis Binnion and Craig Mawson have all agreed new two year deals @ManUtd to be part of Michael Carrick’s coaching team.
With all due respect to Hull, if you finish 6th in the Championship you are 1 million percent guaranteed to get relegated from the PL. Fair play to them but that’s just reality.
